01.Positive Behaviour Support
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) focuses on improving a person’s quality of life by understanding the reasons behind behaviours of concern and developing proactive, person-centred strategies. At Unique Traits Community Services, we work collaboratively with participants, families, and support networks to create tailored behaviour support plans that build skills, increase independence, and promote positive outcomes across home and community environments.
02.Allied Health Assistance
Unique Traits Community Services can provide participants with therapeutic support by an allied health assistant working under the delegation and supervision of a therapist, where the therapist is satisfied that the allied health assistant can work independently without direct supervision at all times.
03.Support Coordination
Through Support Coordination Levels 1 & 2, we help clients access qualified Support Coordinators to strengthen their ability to design and build supports within complex service systems. The focus is on empowering participants to direct their lives, manage crises, and build resilience within their support networks.
04.Self-Care & Community Access
We provide personalised support to help participants build independence, confidence and everyday living skills both at home and in the community. Our supports can include assistance with personal care, daily routines, meal preparation, household tasks, shopping, attending appointments, accessing the community, social activities and developing practical life skills. We work alongside each participant at their own pace, encouraging choice and independence while providing the right level of support
05.Counselling & Play Therapy
Our Counselling and Play Therapy services provide a safe, supportive and engaging space for participants to explore emotions, build confidence and develop meaningful coping and communication skills. Using person-centred and age-appropriate approaches, we support emotional regulation, social skills, self-esteem, relationships and everyday challenges. Through conversation, creativity and play-based activities, we help each person express themselves in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful to
06.Early Childhood Intervention
Our Early Childhood Intervention services support young children to build the skills they need to learn, grow and thrive. Through play-based, child-led and family-centred support, we focus on areas such as communication, emotional regulation, social skills, independence, routines and developmental milestones. We work closely with families, educators and other professionals to create practical strategies that can be used across home, childcare, kindergarten and the wider community.
